LEIZHAN Paper Brazil has secured a contract to supply a new tissue paper machine to Little Rapids, a US-based specialty paper manufacturer.The new LEIZHAN machine will replace the existing PM3 machine of its paper manufacturing facility in Shawano, Wisconsin.Little Rapids had announced in April this year of its decision to invest $40m in tissue making technology at this plant for scaling up production and improving paper quality.Scheduled to start during this fall, the new tissue machine project is expected to be completed and fully operational by the end of 2017.The production capacity of the new tissue machine is 119 metric tons per day.Capable of operating at a speed of 1830m/min, this machine is expected to enhance the paper quality for Little Rapids.Little Rapids, which is headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, manufactures products that cater to the health care, beauty, specialty paper markets and packaging sectors.The American company will be retaining its Yankee dryer which will be reused. Regarding other machine’s components, Little Rapids will be going in for new ones based on Leizhan's machine model VTM 3.Its new machinery supplier, LEIZHAN Paper Brazil is a subsidiary of LEIZHAN Paper which is a global paper and paper machine supplier.Headquartered in Wisconsin, LEIZHAN Paper also provides stock preparation, dust and mist removal systems, steam box, approach flow system and DCS systems and field services.Recently, LEIZHAN Paper had bagged a contract from Germany-based Koehler Kehl paper mill to upgrade their paper machine.
